Nice to see NY Daily News editorial March 2, 2013 agreeing with my views on keeping marijuana illegal because of the danger of hopped up drivers.

The daily news editorial is not agreeing with you on keeping marijuana illegal. They just posed the question of what to do with drivers under the influence of marijuana. Please quit being so idiotic.
Washington state already has a system in place. LEOs first have to spot you driving erratically, second they have to give you a sobriety test, and only if you fail the sobriety test and the officers suspect marijuana use, they can draw blood to see if you exceed the allowable legal limit.
This is just common sense.
Marijuana related DUI's should be treated the same way other -already legal drugs- are treated.
The fact of the matter is that car accidents related to marijuana use are VERY small compared to accidents where the driver was under the influence of easily accesible over-the-counter drugs. And don't even get me started on alcohol or prescription drugs, there's just no comparison.

The thing is, none of us has to smoke or drink because it's legal, do we?
The reason to legalize is the corruption that always sets in when something popular is prohibited.
Prohibition has always cost the taxpayer too much money and has made criminals of a lot of normally law abiding citizens.
There is so much money now behind the drug trade that it is very corrupting to the very officials whom we rely on to protect us.
In some Latin American countries the government is owned by cartels. Do we want to wait until that happens here? They have made serious inroads already.
It just does not work.
