You're wrong. Like it or not, the Supreme Court and various other federal and state appeals courts have repeatedly affirmed that the police ARE NOT responsible for protecting people. Go ahead, look it up. I'm not making this up.
No one involved in this incident would win a case in court against the NYPD. The City might settle because it nearly always does, but they could not win in court.
Right. Now envision them doing that on a weekend afternoon, on Frederick Douglass Boulevard, and incorporating the sidewalk when they feel like it.
And this is a regular occurrence?!
I think everyone needs to stop calling these a##holes "bikers." They are nothing more than thugs who got what they deserved. They are the stereotypical bully who is big and bad until someone stands up to them, then they whine and cry about being a victim. Those dbags would be laughed out of town if they ever showed up here for a REAL biker rally.
I think he did this because the SUV had honked at him and he was mad.
I have been honking at those malignant animals on bikes each time they pass by my car with those deafening motor noise...tit for tat, but maybe not worth it.

Why did not the car drivers at the time come to rescue when they saw the hated road gang activity ongoing? Was everyone just too busy watching and forgot to call 911?
And the question is - why don't they try this stunt along Cross Bay Blvd., Katonah Ave., Arthur Ave.? Surely police presence in those areas are no better than elsewhere in NYC.

That's the other question I have. Are people too afraid? The area I live in is nothing like NYC, so I don't know. If they came here and pulled that crap, I guarantee others would get involved and the authorities would deal with it, though obviously they aren't as overworked as NYPD.

Which is why I think those bikers could not pull of the same stunt in Cross Bay, lack of police presence notwithstanding.

Didn't the NYPD chief said there was over 200 phone calls about this? Also it was noted last year these same group clogged up times square causing a mess.
Allegedly, the bikers closed the ramps on the entrances on the West Side highway so they can do their tricks. So in theory, there is little other cars to witness the drama between the Ranger Rover & the bikes......except the infamous vid cam posted up
