I have a question. When I took the test, I lived in NYC. I received the city 5 credit points. Now I live in long island. Would this be a problem when if I do get called?
I had this exact same situation. Just bring proof you lived in the city during 2007 when we took the test. Federal income tax return is the best to bring in. Once they see that you are good.
Same thing happened to me... They just said they weren't even up to my number yet, so nothing to reinstate...I'm in 4500's so may this year
0917, 0918, 0919, 0920, 0921...you catch the drift
It's only reinstating your number if you passed on the job. What you want to do is update your information and tell them you have your CDL, you'll have to fax them a copy as well
I've been trying to reach Human Resources to reinstate my list number. I failed the CDL with the DSNY but retook it recently and passed. It seems everyone I call and leave a message with doesn't get back to me. Does anyone have any reliable numbers to call?
If your call doesn't get through go down there with your CDL and a fresh shave and a good shirt lol .... No but seriously i recommend you go to 346 ASAP
Hmm when I told the person that I got my cdl they said they're not even up to my number yet, they'll send a letter, and to show them when I get there. This was after I failed test with the dsny training, I got on my own not long after.
So I should really have my info updated OR go in person. Why didn't the person I spoke with tell me to fax a copy? Damn

Yeah you want to update your info. Unless they're saying you can show them at pre-orientation
If they didn't hire up to your number (they got up to 4052) then they'll call you for ANOTHER pre-orientation and at that time you can show them you have your CDL
If they pass your number (let's say you were 3900) they're not going to backwards and call you, they just have you down as unqualified cause you have no CDL. You'd have to update your records and then they'd call you to another pre-orientation
Right, they said I can show when my number is reached, I'm in 4500's, thanks for clarifying more.
Yeah if you no show something or turn them down when they call, they deactivate your list number until you activate it. If you are unqualified, they place you on a list of unqualifieds until you update it. So when they begin calling again they will start 4053 unless earlier numbers call and get themselves on that list
I just read an entry on another 6063 thread and the guy mentioned he heard from a friend on the job that they are looking to hire 800 people starting next month, has anyone else heard anything like this?

There are still no confirmed number to be hired or when. No instructors have been gathered and no equipment has been transported to FBF yet
