You should really try at least slightly harder not to expose your own boldface lies. Math and economics certainly aren't your strongpoint. You must be making that $500k on 10th Avenue... Just to fill you in, someone who makes $500k can easily afford a $1.4 mil apartment. That's what mortgages are made for and 3x yearly salary is quite easy to afford.
Pre-K doesn't actually do any good, medium to long term. So this just amounts to state-funded babysitting.
YOU ARE 100% CORRECT! And not a single feckless politician could stand up and just flat-out state that this is a colossal waste of money. But of course the Teachers' Union loves it - more teachers and more dues.
Wow I cannot believe the OP is admitting to only earning $500K in Manhattan...that's like trying to live on $10K in East NY...either they are on Section 8 or rent control paying $300 a month..otherwise she might be renting a bench in Thompkins Square Park. Very sad...if I were the OP I would move to Detroit and start a farm...I wouldn't even get out of bed for less than $1M + Bonus if I were living in Manhattan.
And now that we are done trolling...can we ban this OP?
I'm so happy the way Cuomo has been ***** slapping his **** deBlasio around. A $500 grand a year income should allow you a very comfortable living but is not rich by any strecth of the imagination. This new generation of "progressive" liberal politics is not good for anyone. Raising taxes on people who are in the wheel house of a high tax bracket already is only further dividing this city and country.
Thankfully Cuomo reconzied this. Cuomo is also no dummy, the same people deBasio wanted to tax are the same people who contributed to help Cuomo get elected. Cuomo isn't going to **** those people off.

And even with this nonsense pre-K funding, De Blasio would still like to raise taxes on the rich. Why? Because it's just not fair that there are rich people and poor people in NYC.
Of course he forgets that NYC has the highest income tax rate on the rich in the country. But he doesn't care. IT'S JUST NOT FAIR.

500k, if you saved and invested, certainly could lead to you have millions in assets in a short time. Get a mortgage to buy your apartment first in Manhattan. Save some money, and invest it. Actually purchasing the condo itself is a form of investment, but there are other forms (stocks, bonds, and other securities, investment money in businesses or projects, etc.). Anyone who says you can't turn 500k a year into wealth clearly knows nothing about money or finance.

I did not say that. I also agree with you. But what business is it of anyone how people spend their money?
All deBlasio wanted was his own private war chest so he could do what he wanted at tax payers expense. F**k him.
Has a 500k job but doesnt know how to properly post a link, awesome lol.
