It's rude to talk like this about any group of people.
It's just considered acceptable in America to slander Jews, but not black people.
I agree with your first statement but disagree on your second. If you have any criticism of Jews anywhere its considered antisemitism but everyday in this country, which has a horrible history on racism towards blacks, people go out of their way to attack blacks and group them ALL into the worst type of people. This forum is a clear example. Look at how many posts are about negative black people as if the hard working, peaceful black people don't even exist. This has gone on for centuries in this country.

This is very true. Anything with the statement called the Big J is either antisemitic or anti-zionist. I have noticed this for a while now. Now on the streets of NYC I find it hard to say the Jew, or Jewish because the word would just turn heads now a days. The only way I can get away with the Word Jew or Jewish is if I tie the word with delicatessen which is high on calories, but it is very tasty.

The Lubavitch are actually pretty good. They are educated, speak English, welcome all Jews into the fold, and try to keep non-religious Jews interested in Judaism. The others just really suck - big time.

Life under Communism was often hard, harsh and not very good. Government was often corrupt from the top down with everyone demanding their taste to do (or not) their jobs. You notice that it isn't just the Jews in parts of Brooklyn that scheme and connive, but plenty of Russians, Ukrainians, Polish, etc.. in short almost from everywhere in the former Soviet Union's reach.
When Eastern Europeans first began arriving in NYC/USA there wasn't the vast welfare system seen today. Post WWII and certainly since the 1970's or so that has changed. Asylum seekers, refugees, immigrants from the Eastern European countries (mostly Jews) couldn't believe what the USA/local states were handing out for "free". Sadly some not only helped themselves but applied the techniques learned from the old country. Worse they sent word back home to get over here while the getting is good.
Thus many Eastern Europeans arrive on these shores either already plugged into the "mooching" system or soon find out how. Because of WWII, the Holocaust and what is perceived as continuing discrimination and or persecution of Jews in Europe the USA has had a natural bias post WWII in granting "aid". This has been helped along by powerful Jewish politicians and businessmen/bankers who see any attack or charge to curtail abuse/benefits as anti-Semite discrimination.
This is very true. Years of socialist culture in Eastern Europe, from Nazi domination to Soviet domination left a foul taste of smooching in the mouths of Eastern European immigrants. This was also a good part of the 20th century as well and is deeply embedded in the culture of Eastern Europeans. It was only a generation ago that most of these countries were under communist rule. Stalin purged Jews from the communist party. I also remember meeting plenty of Eastern European Jews who came to America as refugees in order to flee the Soviet Union or post Soviet Russia. As of recently Putin the president of Russia arrested Jewish oligarchs and put them in prison, took away their wealth. Plenty of Russian Jews had to flee to places like Israel, Britain and here in NYC. Putin is crazy.

Lots of talk about Jews lately. I don't know why. Maybe its because of economics or folks are just jealous. But I have to say is that Jews in America rose to prominence in recent decades. Nothing wrong about this, or there is nothing anti-Semitic or anti-Zionists about the comment I'm about to make. Its just based on success which is universal in every corner in this country. Jews are head of fortune 500 companies. Many Jews attend Ivy Leagues schools. Make up the bulk of the wealthy class here in the country or the 1%. Have huge influence in media like in Hollywood and in publishing here in NYC. Even though Jews don't dominate politics, they have plenty of say in politics via voting, and donating to campaign funds, most notably towards Hillary Clinton. There are even 2 Jewish Candidates running for president. Former NYC mayor and Billionaire Mike Bloomberg, and the Socialist Bernie Sanders. Or if not presidents, they make up a list of advisors towards presidents such as Henry Kissenger for example. On the supreme court bench their are three Jews, Kagan, Ginsburg and Breyer. Decades ago, Wasps dominated such positions that I have mentioned, but not anymore. No one should not be upset at Jews. These groups of people work real hard.
As for Babiyar, Hassidic community? This group is a different story. I went to a self help organization. I met a former Hassidic woman. Her mom used to beat her up because she left her house to watch a movie. Now she is a single mom of 2 kids, and her parents and her community disowned her. It was real sad.
I think in a two generations, we will see the rise of Asian Americans who will dominate positions from Wall Street, to Washington that were once dominated by Wasps and now Jews. Asians will probably make up the bulk of college graduates at top schools. Bollywood would have a huge influence in Hollywood. I read somewhere how Pakistani American's have the highest rate of college graduation in the country.
Racism seems acceptable all around the world. Not just in this forum, it's part of life some people deal with it and others,
can not.
some really can't deal with it...
