There are so many things wrong with this picture, and unfortunetely this young woman had to die because of it.
i am still on the side that something is shady with the father, and after hearing the mother on a talk show, Im convinced that she is a nut case.
Now the father says he's looking for a woman who was in the area at the time. I don't know why the police allow him to identify possible suspects or witnesses. That's their job.

The family of slain Howard Beach jogger Karina Vetrano is trying to determine the identity of a mystery woman seen on a GoPro video heading into Spring Creek Park the same August afternoon the 30-year-old woman was founded dead in the weeds.

The woman, described as dressed in workout clothing and sporting a double pony tail, was seen on the video going toward the park at 83rd Street and 164th Avenue about 20 minutes before Vetrano took her final turn into the wetlands area about 5:40 p.m. Aug. 2, her father Philip Vetrano said in a series of telephone interviews.

“We need to talk to this person,” Vetrano said.

The father did an interview in today's NY Post. He says that after she was jogging for half an hour he went looking for her with a machete. Your world-traveling adult daughter is away from home for a half hour and you grab a machete to go looking for her? No rational person would do that unless they KNEW there was a threat to her and/or himself.

“I was sitting on the couch, watching television, watching the news, and I got that feeling. And she was only gone 25 minutes,’’ he said. “But something came over me. She was calling me then.’’

The dad said he was so sure Karina was in danger that after about a half-hour, he went to look for her — carrying a machete.

Love the machete twist. It's so Howard Beach. Bet he had a golf club handy too.

The more the father talks, the bigger of a hole he digs himself into.

Exclamation Such A Terrible Loss.....!!!!!

A beautiful, young woman with most of her life ahead of her, well-educated, is killed in broad-daylight, near her middle-class area, and even with a $400,000 reward, no one has come forward.......such a terrible loss......we may never know who did it, unless someone speaks, or DNA traps the killer, somehow.

PEOPLE MAGAZINE recently had a story about a SERIAL KILLER in Queens, NY, that has killed up to six women.......in one particular area, similar to where this young lady was killed. However, NYPD has not reported a connection, yet. I just pray that he/she is caught, soon.

I feel so sad for the family...!!!!

I think you are referring to the Long Island serial killer. Those victims weren't attacked on the street, they were escorts. I don't think there is a connection.
