You really found the wrong place for yourself to live. Maybe give your next move a little more thought. Try a penthouse in the city, or out to the suburbs.

Uh no. There are plenty of lovely neighborhoods in New York. Park Slope, Prospect Heights, Chelsea, West Village, Windsor Terrace, UES, UWS, Brooklyn Heights, Cobble Hill, Kensington, Fort Greene, Sunnyside.

I mean I can go on and on even if I personally may not enjoy the neighborhood in question.

Even places like Flushing, for all its reputation of being overcrowded and smelly, are not that bad.

Fort Greene, Prospect Heights and Sunnyside might bot be ready for you yet.

Is it Hispanics that you just don't want to live around?

Most people don't care about your race. They do care about the way you behave.

It is hard for us to discuss better neighborhood options if we don't know what your current neighborhood that you hate is. Or what your budget is.

All we can go off of is no Hispanics.

There are a lot of Hispanics in Kensington so I don't think it's that.

Maybe it's lower income Dominican neighborhoods he has an issue with.

My neighborhood is NOT a "food desert" -- such places are uncommon in NYC.

But neighborhoods like this typically have ****ty food options for dining out. It's all mostly 1-3 ethnic foods, general American food, and pizza. And 90% of it is greasy and fattening. Very little in terms of fast casual health foods or sit down quality food restaurants. Unless you want to sit down to some fried chicken or a big fat burrito heh heh
Are you really gonna write off Mexican food like that? Authentic Mexican cuisine is very diverse and widely praised. Also, burritos are uncommon in Mexico except for some of the Northern parts.
