Did she go to De Witt Clinton? I don't know how old she is, but lots of famous alumni.

I guess because I've had good experiences generally with the Albanians I met. Sorry that sounds kind of prejudiced lol.

I know. It's very off-putting and offensive.
In what way are they superior at all?

Right, well my Turkish Muslim hairdresser voted for Trump.
He said he thought Trump would be "good for business"

In the last election, I supported Gary Johnson of Libertarian Party (for whom I would have also voted had I voted). Unlike the Clintons who were wedding guests at the most recent Trump's wedding, I have no interest in Trump. Fortunately, he is just a special effect that served the function of attracting a certain electorate (ie, uncivilized whites - see how nicely the word civilized/uncivilized serves any purpose, and is in no way racist?), while the real politicians inside the Republican Party behind him run the country, not Trump personally. I have no idea how other Eastern Europeans tend to vote, since I don't socialize with them (I ran away from that, was there in 1986 for the last time, don't intend to go back, and do not see why I would ever want to recreate in the US something from which I escaped). I particularly have no idea about Russians, since I am neither a Russian nor from a country that was under Russian control.

Yes, I think also the racism of Trump's campaign (and Trump himself) appealed to Eastern European Americans.
From what I understand, the Soviet education system was very racist and taught the inferiority of all non-European cultures.

Again, how are you not getting the word "civilized" is offensive (racist, classist, etc.)

How are YOU more civilized than other people, pray tell?

That high school was near her home, but she attended the High School of Music and Art (now LaGuardia)

Who cares what anyone thinks? If you like GUNS, buy one. What happened to us as Americans? Maybe it is hard to be around people that have different leanings and political beliefs. Geez, life is to short. Granted, i do not live in nyc but who cares. If you move somewhere because of political leanings take a hard look at yourself.

Civilization is a social contract that makes complex societies possible. At a basic level, if somebody has something that you want (let's call it X), you can either club him on the head and take his X (uncivilized), force him to give you X through some less drastic but still highly unpleasant means (uncivilized), barter your Y for his X (civilized), or create X yourself and make friends with the other guy, discussing how you both like X, and how X can be improved (most civilized).

People who want to take somebody else's life, or property (including, say, tax money for welfare support of other able-bodied people), or personal liberty (including, say, a woman's reproductive liberty), or personal peace (by turning music up to 10 at midnight in a shared building) are not civilized. All of these actions are a breach of social contract that makes living with each other comfortably possible, particularly possible at the modern level of complexity.
