So excited to finally share this info...I got hired! I will start working in the 6th JD in a couple of weeks. For those that will ask, my interview process was very similar to what phileigh007 described. Good luck everyone!
Congratulations!! That's very exciting! About how long did it take between your interview and when you got the job offer?
I was canvassed for the NY County Clerk, and turned it down due to being promoted at my current job. I received another canvass letter from the Brooklyn County Clerk last week. I think I'm going to say yes this time and go through with the process to see if I'm interested. I work for the City of New York currently in a supervisory position and don't know if I want to move to the courts and be low man on the pole.

Has anyone ever held this position, can you tell what it entails? TY in advance.
@ksvlo, roughly where are you on the list? I haven't been canvassed yet, my list number is just below 300, 91.5 score I think.
I'll let the group know when I do get canvassed and by which court(s).
Yes, I'd love to know what the job is actually like.
Also, what is the salary in year 2 or 3? I know starting salary downstate is roughly $50k.
I know there are some promotional opportunities, but not everyone can move to other positions and if I'm going to be a court assistant for a long time I'd want to know what I'll be making in mid career and at the top of the pay scale.
