I received "we are sorry we never reached your rank" letters from NYC and Suffolk a couple of weeks ago. I am still waiting to hear from Nassau. This entire process is kind of ridiculous. Having to take days off from work to interview for a job that they are not even up to your rank yet!?! And we took the test over two years ago!?! I am feeling very disheartened. Happy Holidays to all!! Good Luck as well!!
I'd like to know about the possibilities for transfer. After we eventually get hired in a given district, how difficult/easy is it to transfer across state to another one? Does the system require the Ct Asst to go through interviewing in the new district? And/or do the administrators in that new district have to agree before anyone can be allowed to transfer from another district? From what some people say, they make it sound impossible; but, listening to other people, they say that it's a commonly done thing and "no problem". Does anyone know?
@McSilvers31, the process is very frustrating.
Rejected again by Nassau.
I'm moving on to other things at this point.
I've never been through a selection process like this before, and I've been in the workforce for thirty years.
Why aren't you getting hired? Do you get really nervous at interviews?. I don't see any reason why they wouldn't have hired you already. You said you were ranked in the 200's, I think we got the same score of 91.5
I have been a court assistant for six months now along with a bunch of others that were hired this summer.
I don't know why I haven't been hired. I wish I did - that way I could try to address whatever the issues are.
I do get nervous in some interviews but I think I answered their questions appropriately, expressed enthusiasm, asked relevant questions of my own, etc. Different interviews, different questions, different experiences, but the same result.
