That's basically what the editorial section in the Daily News (or NY Post) said. And ...! He's only banning it in NYC. Not the entire state where counties show even worse numbers than NYC rates. I've been taking Covid seriously & wearing masks faithfully but this current mandate stinks to high heaven. The NYC restaurants are being scapegoated.

Yeah, I've heard others say the seats next to them were empty because they staggered the seating. Might depend upon the airline, then.

The business owners need to organize en mass. One business fighting it might make news, but they'd get crushed. Thousands doing it simultaneously would likely win. Also, they need to develop flash mobs of protesters who, when given the word that the Sheriff was harassing a business owner, would show up, again, en mass, and drive off the sheriff (see BLM.)
