But tell me having NO MONEY MAKES THEM IMPORTANT???
So why should someone pay 3,000 for a one bedroom,, and other 2 blocks away pay 500 or less.... ohh that fair...
If you want to go that route, blame the marketing industry.. don't blame the people who can afford to live there.
What is great about NYC is that it is NOT a "Disneyland for yuppies". It would be sad to see Manhattan turn into that.
And I am not saying someone without money is more important. Public Housing is a part of Manhattan. You can still go to Prada, the public housing does not have to be demolished for you to spend $5000 on a man purse.
Also, since we seem to be so hung up on Paris, I am not an expert or Paris, but when you look at a break down on the types of jobs people have in Paris, it is very diverse. It does not seem to be a city made up of only "Disneyland Yuppies"

Why does it have to be all about poor people and rich people? I think the focus should be on the middle class, because that's the majority
There is no room for middle class in "the Disneyland for yuppies" The middle class are not important enough to live in Materialism's city. Less fortunate people can provide him services, but can't live near him.
