Hi, folks --

Some of the posts in this thread are wandering pretty far off-topic which is, according to the title & the OP, posting pictures to put faces to names.

The mods have received complaints about some of the posts (and posters) and if it continues, we'll have to consider locking the thread. We'd rather not do that, so please stick to the topic.

Thanks!

Does that mean that all threads in the NYC forum must stay completely on topic and may not meander off? If so I would find this a shame since we're all adults and since the other forums on CD allow conversations to lead where they may.

I'll just refer you back to the Forum Rules everyone agreed to upon joining City-Data, specifically:

"Stay on topic. Attempts to hi-jack threads by switching topics or going off topic will be deleted and infractions issued. This is not a chat room - when people hi-jack threads by posting messages that are of interest to only few people, the threads often stop being useful discussions of initial topics."

Jst as a courtesy to us posters who have spent endless hours, days, weeks, months, years giving free advice and willingly sharing our experiences with others who come here seeking guidance and info - can you identify yourself - are you a moderator?

Thanks.

Well, I really thought '32', but since you look about 17 in that photo, I didn't wanna risk insulting you. Do you still get asked for I.D.?

I belong to three other city forums on City-Data, and they are also strictly scruitinized, have the same rules. It's easy to meander off-topic. In fact, just yesterday I happened to do that ~ unintentionally ~ in another city site, and "we" were put in our place.
