DCAS hasn't been handling MTA tests for nearly a year now. If you want information for any MTA exam you took, you should go to the MTA website and look it up there.

Also, by the way, I think there's still another week or two to file for the Staten Island Railroad Conductor test. (SIR used to be an 'old boy' network of the first order. If you didn't know someone there, you weren't getting a job. I think this is the first time the conductor title is being given as an open competitive exam...which means that MTA is going to break up the 'old boy' network in Staten Island. Has to be a good thing!)

Is there another TO exam coming? I haven't heard of one. I don't think 8098 would be terminated until a new one has been given. I'm still optimistic about receiving a call.

Great news Justin08! I spoke with a friend today, he is a train operator. He is very sure they called off the OC list. A class is just starting and he believes it is from the OC. He knows one of the last Promo's called and she started car school a month or so ago. He told me don't be surprised if things happen fast. Sounds good so far!

I just called 347-643-8229, I was told that is the direct line to the MTA employment center. I asked the lady that answered about exam#8098 and she informed me they haven't started calling from that list yet. I asked her if the list was terminated and she said it is not terminated, they just haven't started calling from that list yet. Not sure when they will start either.

Just a update from another forum inside info to guys on the OC List it is NOT terminated as was stated before. And there is supposed to be a OC Class for schoolcar 40 TOs for 10/22 another 40 for Nov and another 40 for Dec. So ppl on this list with low numbers should be getting called for a medical VERY soon.

Just got the letter to go tithe initial interview at Livingston for the train conductor. It says starting pay is 19.48.
I took the test I think in 08!exam 8094 I received an 97. Lowish score and still took 4 years. I have a contract with my current job until January. Will I have to break my contract? I was told by a friend I might be able to put it off till then and start then but they could also tell me the same day that I will start in 2 weeks. Can I still complete my obligations with my current job but not loose this current opportunity?
