Mine are the terms "babymama" and "babydaddy"

Don't know why it raises my hackles but it sure does.

I worked with someone who said things like "I didn't eat breafix this morning." It took me a while to understand what he was saying - so ignorant.

I agree. I think it was originally a ghetto term for those who didn't speak correct English and left the possessives off their words. Instead of them saying, "That's my baby's daddy," it was, "That's my baby daddy." I wish those terms would just fall out of use.

That one drives me crazy also. Back in the 60's, when I was a young case worker, working in the ghetto, that's what our welfare clients said.

A new case worker would always be confused when one of our clients would say that someone "passed".

"Baby daddy" was also heard back in those days.

Here's one that bothers me, and I'm not sure why...when people refer to kids as "kiddos". Where did that come from???

I'm not advocating for unkind or crude phrases in such a situation. "Died" is just factual.
As a palliative, be palatable.

Factuality can incur severe insults, and bad gossip about you.

Hey, I bin there.

Default A written word

When people say this, you can't tell but when they write "I just payed the bill" - drives me nuts!!

Yeah. "No offense, but . . . "

(What is this flattering comment they're about to make?)
