Just a suggestion, but perhaps you all would like to bookmark this thread...The "old" off-topic thread got pushed off the first page and was kind of forgotten...If this one gets pushed off you'll be able to access it quickly...

Sues, it's pretty rare when it gets humid here in So. Calif. It's usually hot and dry.

Cathyde, I am originally from Brooklyn, NY, and my husband is from Jersey City, NJ. We moved to So. Calif. 34 years ago, so it will take some getting used to when we get back East. Thanks for the good wishes.

Summering, I will keep you posted on how everything is progressing. Things are moving along, but not as quickly as I would like. We'll get there eventually (says my husband). As you can tell, I'm not as patient as he is - LOL.

I had lunch at the Jonas Inn yesterday. It always amazes me how old the place is. I found it so cozy and cute...
The last time I ate there we were in the dining area, this time in the more general area. One can't get in or out of there without reading the old letters of long ago travels to the Inn. There is plenty of pictures from way back when.....old cars, old tales.
I can not imagine the long and winding road to the Inn on dirt roads years ago. It is a hidden gem.
Way back in the forest on 534....
I hope there never comes a day to debate its worthiness. I'm thinking of Dansbury Depot......which is the old train station in Stroudsburg. It is about to be crushed to pieces, along with its wonderful history and memories. When I lived in NJ it was our meeting place while coming into PA........
Family memories fill those walls.........( I need to get the camera out quick )

They have some good lunch specials going on......very cozy.....and the TV in the bar/dining area is nice.
I've been looking for ya' couldn't rep you as yet.....all that jazz.

I'm sitting some Hermit Crabs........good gosh. Those are so ugly. I have had to have my hubby put them into the water dish ( which they do love).....
This is a first for me. I am trying to "like" them but .......good gosh!
Surprised to find out they do seem to have a brain. They know when water is refreshed. They like to be picked up...( not by me, mind ya')

Well I'll take the crabs over the bigggg wild yard animals......The skunks were in the back a few days ago. I swear there was a herd of them.
Then I aired our the inside of my home just because I swore the smell came in. Everything is good now........
