Amstel-
Go to the PA game commission site and they will give you a list and location of state owned rifle ranges. They do not restrict caliber, but as mentioned, they do restrict magazine capacity. I know there is a range in Tobyhanna between Rte 380 & rte 611. Have fun, good luck

This is not correct. The range on Rt 6 up in Hawley allows six rounds in the magazine, printed right on the regs at the range.

Just out of curiosity, are there any private ranges in the Pike county area that allow full magazines? If so, what are the average costs?

having no more than three rounds in a rifle (six in a handgun).

You are correct, 3 for a rifle. I didn't notice the OP referenced rifles only.
6 for a handgun.

No Idea... years back there was a range by Mount Arie that had auto and semi.. but you had to use their guns and purchase their ammo and it was very very expensive.. Im talking 30 years ago... since 9/11 I dont think it would exist any more..could be wrong though.

Hmm... well, after having lived in NY and NJ, PA is by far more lenient when it comes to gun laws, but still far more restrictive than what I'm used to in Florida.

In Florida, there are many private and public ranges. Each range has its own set of rules. Some permit NFA class 3 weapons; others don't. Most however allow the user to run a full magazine without issue. Many private ranges also don't charge an arm and a leg for use. Just recently when I went to visit my parents in Clearwater, I visited a private indoor range that only charged 20 dollars for about 3 hours of range time which isn't bad.

Still, when putting PA in context by comparing it against its closest neighbors, I guess I can't complain.
