Despite their name, stink bugs are actually one of the most delectable of insects. Here they add a unique favor to a traditional paté.
1/3 pound roasted stink bugs
10 chicken livers
4 cloves garlic
1 small onion
1/8 teaspoon salt
Black pepper, to taste
Oregano, to taste
Marjoram, to taste
Powdered bouillon, to taste
Olive oil, to taste
Place the chicken livers in a saucepan with the garlic, onion, salt, and enough water to cover. Bring to a boil and simmer for 10 minutes.
Remove the chicken livers and place in a blender or food processor, reserving the broth. Add the roasted stink bugs and about 1/4 cup of the reserved broth and pureé, adding more broth as needed, until mixture is smooth and reaches a spreadable consistency. Add spices and oil to taste. Place in a wooden bowl and serve with crusty french bread.
Yum YUM! And lots of protein, too!

I noticed that too. About two dayss after posting to this thread, they seem to
have mostly vanished. Just one or two outside -- and none inside.

I don;t think they harmed my plants after all. After pruning excess growth from my Zinnias they rebounded. I have a pepper plant that seems unaffected. BNot quite so sure about my soybeans. Overall very good, but I did not plant them in the best soil, so I can;t necessarily blame the bugs.

YOU GUYS HAVE TO HELP ME PLEASE!!

Somehow, these stink bugs are getting into my car...I don't leave doors open long enough for them to get in without me hearing or seeing them.
I was in my car at lunch today, and I'm not kidding, there were 7 of those creatures just hanging out in my car; on windows, the glove box, by the passenger door. How do all of them get in? Do they just crawl through various openings in the car?

The problem is, one day I will be driving and one of those things will fly at me or in front of my face and I will flip out, and then probably crash and burn.

Does anyone else find the stinkbugs hanging out in their car?

Ick! I get what you're saying. A few weeks ago, I got in my car and I had one inside my window. That was gross enough for me! I also have no idea how it got in, but I figure they get in through small openings. Sorry I can't help!

My guess: they crawl in through the air vents. Might want to also ask in the automotive forum, some there probably would know better.

On our recent trip up north, when I pulled over at a rest stop on I-8I just past Harrisburg, I found a stinkbug in the car that apparently had come along from Virginia for the ride. So...I let him out, thereby repatriating him to Pennsylvania where he and all his ilk originated in the U.S. (the stinkbug of course being another wonderful gift from China right up there with lead-painted toys, contaminated pet food, and toxic drywall).

If I had been going by a certain city in northeast Pennsylvania, I think I would have waited to let him out there, though!

Do they bite or anything?

If they are close enough to the window, I just try to shoo them out and hope they fly out, but sometimes they fly right back in (often bypassing my eyelashes) and I scream like a little girl. I don't know why I'm so scared of them! Probably because they don't have those where I come from and I certainly never had a problem with flying bugs cohabitating with eachother in my automobile. This is going to be rough for me
