Does anyone know if the voting facilities will be jam packed with people when they open at 6 a.m.--folks who will be voting before going to work? I would be using a Reston, VA, facility. Thanks.

You could camp out tonight to be at the front of the line.

4 years ago, I went to my Sterling voting location with the intention of being the first one there, so I wouldn't have to wait in line. Well, others had that thought, as well. At 5:45 am there were about 40 people already in line. I got through about 6:20.........

Expect crowds in the morning.......expect crowds during lunch......expect crowds in the evening.

Pretty much, expect crowds.

There's really no reason for this. Might be a good idea to send your delegate and senator an e-mail asking them to expand early voting beyond the current situations that allow for voting absentee in person. It's stupid in 2012 that people have to stand in line to vote. Thank the VA Republican party for it as part of their agenda is to make it as difficult for people to register and vote as possible.

I hope the police are at the polling stations as I fully expect all kinds of Repub voter suppression shenanigans.

A coworker of mine has worked the Arlington election sites for years and has said that the early morning voting hours are the WORST. Best time seems to be around 2-4PM.

I'm sure the lines at the polls will be really long. Maybe not at 6 am but definitely in the afternoon. Virginia doesn't allow early voting similar to other battleground states like Ohio and Florida.

It's ridiculous you can't vote early in VA unless you qualify for absentee. Absolutely ridiculous

I've voted in every election possible (lived in 3 different states, 6 different precincts) since I was old enough to veote and I have never experienced any "Repub voter suppression shenanigans". What are you talking about?

Yes, nothing going on with 500k provisional ballots in Ohio. The early voting changes in Florida were out of cost restraints right, it wasn't about taking away the ability to vote on weekends. The governors of swing states (who were elected in low volume midterms) are trying to steal this election. Whether you believe it or not is neither here nor there, history will be the ultimate judge as it was in 2000 when Bush stole the election via the help of Catherine Harris and the supreme court.

The real question should be, why are the republican governors so afraid of letting everyone who is legally allowed to vote, to vote as easily as possible? Why shouldnt every state allow weekend early voting if it means bringing more of the public into the process? Because working people can't always get to the polls during work hours, might not even have a car, THAT is why, and working class people vote democratic.
