"True colors"?

OK!! But why haven't you mentioned Asians?
Obama received 73% of the Asian vote, up 11% from 2008.

I completely respect the lives of our soldiers and veterans most of whom voluntarily joined the armed forces but the analogies you use are misplaced in comparing to doctors disposing of the terminally ill and elderly.

You didn't mention Asians because you don't consider them to be "minorities"; the list is always women, latinos and blacks and sometimes gays. Asians are a growing immigrant group with a high success rate in the U.S. for some reason. That Asians turned out for Obama wasn't the point; my point was you left them out of your minority list for some reason.

I wasn't accusing you of being anti-veteran/soldier/black people, I'm just saying that their lives have often seemed unimportant to the government at large in my opinion. Some bad doctors might intentionally let an elderly person or terminally ill person die, sure. If they get caught doing it, they are in big trouble. However, in recent history, the government has willingly sacrificed our soldiers abroad for little cause (while offering very little support to those who make it back home) and systematically (and grossly disproportionately) imprisons black men, ruining many of their lives before they even had a chance, for pretty much no reason. What kind of life is this? The sad thing is, unlike your rogue doctors, the government isn't "getting away with" anything- it's all completely legal! Being pro-life means caring about lives that are already being lived. It's more than being pro-birth, or anti-death. It means you feel human compassion for all life. If you want to make unborn babies part of that, ok. But you need to also consider all the other 300 million plus people in the country too.

Even animals do not kill their unborn; we as humans, with the ability to reason, decide to do this for any or no reason. These rogue doctors don't let the patients die, they have actively intervened to hasten death because they are done with the patient. However, the healthcare system protects these doctors and it is difficult to prove legally but trust it happens and if anyone is in such a situation please be careful of doctors no matter how much they are respected and esteemed in their fields of expertise. The issue with the military is that we have a voluntary force; enlistees take on the risk of being in combat war zones whether the war is deemed justified or not. Don't join unless you are prepared to be placed in a war. Committing a crime is a choice as well. Not trying to be overly simplistic but joining the military and committing crime are both choices.

You may not be trying to be over simplistic, but you are being over simplistic. First of all, some animals do actually eat or kill their own offspring. But that's really not important. The criminal justice system is so biased against people of color, it's not even really a matter of "choosing to commit a crime." I think all soldiers know they can go to war. That does not mean that we have the right to use their lives recklessly for no real reason other than to benefit a few people. Also, "voluntary force" can be misleading. Many people join the military because it is their only chance to try to make something of themselves. This does not somehow mean they deserve to die.

Are you suggesting doctors are murdering the elderly?

I'm not suggesting it but stating that, yes, some doctors are murdering the elderly and the terminally ill. Be careful out there when dealing with doctors.
