Not sure if you got the memo, but being socially liberal has nothing to do with that. It's about equality and not discriminating against those who may be different. Not being able to run the streets nude with body piercings is not exactly the same thing, but you're showing your true colors by trying to equate the two.

Black people also have some socially conservative tendencies. How's that been working out for the GOP?

Not to mention that conservatives love to completely forget about kids once they're born given their rhetoric on federal assistance programs. It's okay to respect life before it's born, just not when they have single moms subsisting on food stamps.

Good point. I think, for most people, economic policy trumps social issues.

Since blacks have socially conservative tendencies, what is it about the GOP they don't like?

Really? I thought women, blacks and gays went for Obama because of his social policies.

I know this is going to sound crazy but there is plenty of birth control out there; the best being women keeping their legs closed to irresponsible men that create a baby and walk away. Why are single moms on food stamps getting pregnant anyway? Excuses please...

It is the same thing. Barring gay men walking around nude with c@ck rings is discriminating because men such as these are different.

It's more along the lines that another post raised; seeing something directly is different from seeing it in an abstract way.
