I miss $0.45 triple scoop ice cream cones at Thrifty's (now Rite-Aid).

I miss In 'N Out Burgers. We dont have them in Oregon.

I miss the parties I used to enjoy in high school many years back. They were good times, and cannot be re-created no matter how hard we try.

I was buying a carton for $1.90 in the military back in the early 60's.

My wonderful family.
My hometown.
My pets who beat me to the pearly gates.
Watching rugby on a Sunday afternoon.
Playing rugby on a Saturday morning.
The chippy.

... and being a kid again when my only worry was getting my homework done on time.

Now I feel homesick, and I don't miss that!

I miss the days when shows like "Leave It To Beaver," "The Flintstones," and "The Red Skelton Show" were prime-time TV hits.

I miss fishing with my dad.

I miss my mom, who died nearly 40 years ago, when I was a teenager. I think she and I would've been best friends in my adult years. She was so cool!

I miss those giant ice cream bars that Dove used to make!

I miss being able to eat Dove Bars without gaining weight!

I miss being able to get 3 gallons of gas for a buck.

I miss my friend, Donna.

I miss the days when people had more respect for one another. Especially when kids and young adults respected people in positions of authority, including teachers, police officers . . . . . . and their parents.

Those days are long gone and never will return. It truly is a shame. You can thank "popular culture" for eroding those values. America is slipping down the moral and ethical rabbit hole at an astronomical pace, and there is no end in sight. We know who to thank for that. No names/titles needed.
