I miss things.... For example when a man's word was his bond. Honor in the political system. Integrity in government. Love and compassion for your neighbor. A strong united community where traditional family values were the rule and not the exception. Heart felt patriotism. Times when one could be assured hard work always pays off. When greed had not corrupted the masses and justice was not so complicated. I miss that simpler time when everyone had a dream and the hope to fulfill it. I miss a lot of things...
WOW!!!

I miss the common sense, good manners, decency and moral standards that people use to have.
Too many dumb asses around "not that there's anything wrong with that".

Now it seems that many people and businesses are looking out for themselves and what they can squeeze from any situation without getting caught, rather than making decisions in good conscience for the good of many.
Yes, all of the above.
I guess that's just the cost of living. Perhaps more appropriate...'the curse of living'.

2. Hearing "Here's Johnny".

I do miss the:
Late 40" and all of the 50's.
20 cent a gallon gas.
Cruising.
$1.00 drive in movies.
Los of people working.
Some very neat cars.
A very hot English teacher.
Good fresh bread - I have to make my own
Fresh veggies - the humidity means they don't stay around long here
off the peg clothes - I'm a US size 12 and am regularly told that stores don't sell 'fat sizes'
