Is there ever 'bullying' that is acceptable?

Only if you get caught raiding my stash of stinky cheese.

Happy to have you here my friends! Thank you!

~ Do you think that when people type or write that they should adhere to the strict set of grammatical rules or should they have freedom to write with their own style that they wish to in order to be unique and/ artistic? I think, generally, that people should write in whatever style pleases them.

~ Have you ever done any reading in the long-running thread called, "I can't take it any more" in the Writing Forum? Yes.

~ If you have read any of that thread, have you ever found any referrals to a thread that you have ever posted? Not that I recall. I haven't visited that thread for a long time.

~ Do you think that thread is okay? I wish people wouldn't write about C-D posts, but rather about errors they see in newspaper and magazine articles, signage or any sources other than C-D.

~ Have you ever read a book written by Mark Twain? Yes. I've read The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and The Prince and the Pauper.

~ Did you enjoy it? Yes.

Do you think that all music and art should be restricted to some sort of standard set of rules? No way!

Should all people have the same knowledge as everyone else? Nopey. It would an awfully dull world if that were so.

Is there ever 'bullying' that is acceptable? I don't think so.

Not in my opinion. I am kind.

Friday Questions are hereby abandoned by me. I won't burden any of those perfect people any more.
I still love most of you, in my own unique way! Thanks for today's fill-ins, roosty! Have a superb weekend, everybody!

they have freedom to write with their own style that they wish to in order to be unique and/ artistic?
I think the most important thing is to communicate clearly what you want to say. The best way to do that is to use standard grammar and spelling that anyone can understand. So yes, it's important. Of course, writers do play with the language for creative reasons, and that's OK, too.
~ Have you ever done any reading in the long-running thread called, "I can't take it any more" in the Writing Forum?
Yes, and I've posted there, too.
~ If you have read any of that thread, have you ever found any referrals to a thread that you have ever posted?
No.
~ Do you think that thread is okay?
Yes, some of the mistakes are unintentionally funny. Like the real estate listing for a waterfront home "with private doc."
~ Have you ever read a book written by Mark Twain?
Yes, "Tom Sawyer" and "Huckleberry Finn."
~ Did you enjoy it?
Yes, I did.
Do you think that all music and art should be restricted to some sort of standard set of rules?
No, that's just the opposite of what art is supposed to do - bend the rules, break them and invent new ones.
Should all people have the same knowledge as everyone else?
What a dull world we would live in if that were true. There wouldn't be anything new to learn.
Is there ever 'bullying' that is acceptable?
No. If you want to put someone down, there are more intelligent ways of communicating that. For example, a witty remark.
Not in my opinion. I am kind.
Good! We need more kindness in this crazy world.

You're not quitting, are you? Please keep doing what you do in your own unique style! You're a treasure. If anyone is criticizing your writing style, I'm sorry. That's just rude, and QOTD is a friendly social website, not an English exam.

Thanks, Roosty!

Be artistic if you want.
~ Have you ever done any reading in the long-running thread called, "I can't take it any more" in the Writing Forum?
I don't think so.

Not yet.
~ Do you think that thread is okay?
I don't have any objections.
~ Have you ever read a book written by Mark Twain?
Definitely. It was required in high school.
~ Did you enjoy it?
I'm guessing, yes.
Do you think that all music and art should be restricted to some sort of standard set of rules?
No.
Should all people have the same knowledge as everyone else?
Yes, but unfortunately some people can't navigate propaganda and conspiracy theories.
Is there ever 'bullying' that is acceptable?
Maybe if a bully is given a taste of their own medicine?
Not in my opinion. I am kind.
I prefer to be as well but sometimes you just can't be nice. Here's an example. I ran into someone I knew from a long time ago on Facebook. He was convicted of having and selling child porn. He was popping off about some right wing conspiracy theory. I came back with "Don't even talk to me. I know what you've done. Why are you even on social media?" Well, he closed his account and left Facebook. People like that need to be ostracized. You can't be kind to someone like that.

Most of us? lol. Thanks roosty. I've been thinking about you. I spent all of October coughing out half a lung, but Halloween was so much fun. We've been dumping about 40 bags of coal that was spread all over the laundry room floor to a friends dumpster. We can only take about 6 to 8 bags at a time because its so heavy. Five more trips and it's all gone, but we have to dig down another inch in the laundry room before the cement can be poured. This is a nightmare project.
