Ahhh...the vacuum - I believe a few months I told my story - when the Hoover Windtunnel that we had bought a few months prior crapped out on the last day we could return it to Sears. DH had wanted to originally buy another Dyson - ours of 12 years had a cracked tube and taping it wouldn't work. I didn't want to spend the money at the time, but had to eat crow.

MM - once you try a Dyson you'll be sold - no matter how great you think the one you have works now, you'll probably be totally shocked at what the Dyson could pick up. They are amazing and worth every penny. That's just been our experience though. It really is a breeze to clean as well - I just dump the canister out in the trash outside.

jk: I can't remember if you have pets. Do you know how they do on pet hair? We have one cat that has fur like velcro. I might spend the $ on a Dyson if I knew it picked up pet hair easily.

We don't have cats, but our Golden Retriever sheds like crazy, our Dyson Animal does a really good job. I can't imagine owning anything else now that I have one. I was reluctant to spend that much, but it really is worth it. I also like the modular aspect, makes it very easy to clean and troubleshoot.

mm - waiting until you have a 30% off is a great idea! I've got one sitting her on my desk right now - wish I would give it to you!

jk - I have a 20 right now. I seem to have gotten a lot of 30's lately though....it used to be unusual to get one. Everyone I know has gotten 30's more than usual lately. I think with the economy, they are issuing more just to get people in the store and shopping.....

BTW the Dyson Animal is on sale at Sears. Doesn't Kohl's do a price match? If you have coupon too you could get a sweet deal!

I thought the last day of school was next Friday. I just realized it's Wednesday. Where did this school year go!

DS already got the summer reading list he needs for his English Lit class next year and the whole book list for the whole year. Yikes! I feel sorry for parents on a major budget. I snagged the summer books from the used book store this afternoon. Unfortunately, she didn't have any of the other 11 except for The Sun Also Rises.

For anyone who might have a book list coming up for next year.... Apple Bookstore and Amazon have a ton of free books that are the older ones. Four of the books on DS's list he can get for free download onto his kindle on his computer. That helps quite a bit. Lots of the classic children's books as well.....
