Hopes - glad everything turned out okay! Bet you are breathing a sigh of relief!

I'll keep that tip in mind about the pesto. I don't want it pasty either.

I think it's completely reasonable to have mixed feelings about it. Especially if there's the possibility GF's mom may change her mind again in a couple of days.
They're turning your world upside down. They're turning your household upside down. You can't plan, you can't prepare, and neither can your son or your dh (though he sounds like he's rolling with it). Makes perfect sense to me.

Shakespeare really did have the right of it: if it were done when 'tis done, then 'twere well it were done quickly.

Yay Hopes! That's great news. I still think it was stellar of you to take him in.

When I posted earlier, I had just read his text. It came out of nowhere. I was so blown away.

I came here because I needed somewhere to blow off steam. Hubby wasn't entertaining my "feelings" about it. LOL

GF's mom is not stable, but I'm not going to worry about that. It's TK's life. He clearly needs to learn the hard way.

Love the Shakespeare quote. You're absolutely right. It was actually a good thing it went quickly.

I appreciate coming here to vent when necessary. It helps me remain calm when I'm actually dealing with stuff IRL.

Oh, gosh, Hopes. I don't think any of us meant to imply you were neglecting your DS. I know I wasn't.

Anyway, I'm glad you won't have that mess hanging over your head anymore. Time for a clensing breath.

mm - coop; did you guys watch MasterChef last night? Man, I love that show. The judges are super harsh, but they're really great to the people who are getting kicked off right now.

Bought a little tear to my eye, it did.

MM If you're out there.

I just heard Broncos have Quinn working out with the second team and Tebow may be on the trading block to Miami.
