We recommended that on the first page. He'd rather go yell at people instead.

Perhaps your behavior is why they *yell* though usually school boards and principals do not *yell* at parents.

You would do better to take the emotion out of this and be direct and to the point about the facts of the case.

You know, I went 13 years, K-12, and never once did my parents have to talk to the superintendent. I'd be curious why you are developing a frequent relationship with yours.

Or, why he would start a thread asking if he should complain to the school when it appears as though he's had issues with them before. What is his option otherwise? Let them keep the computer? This thread makes no sense at all.

Dude I'd walk into the school and demand the laptop. Don't leave till they get it back. I'd go in a raise hell. I'd say I was pulling my child out of that district and that I wanted the laptop back immediately before **** hit the fan and I got real pissed.

Exactly. Of course taking it away for not following the rules is understandable, but it is YOUR property, not the schools. I would DEMAND he either give it back or I WILL press charges against the principal for theft.

I dont understand why people are harping on what the parents bought for their son. If the child is responsible, i'd buy them the best too. If they have the money to buy it, good for them.

But, like said on previous pages, i'd start with the police.

Like the others said, just contact the police. Its theft, simple as that, and thats really the best way to deal with seeing as you can't control your temper.

Call the cops, report theft; then NEVER send your child to school with a laptop! That was HUGE MISTAKE! I don't think it is appropriate for a child to bring a laptop to school.

Oh yes, I am sure a school principal is just going to blatantly steal a child's laptop (even if it's a ridiculously expensive one).
