rt 22 seems tnot to have recovered from the collapse of the prr

pman, I haven't been up that way for years. I used to drive that way coming back from VA when I lived there. The scenery is beautiful up there; it's too bad about their economies. I never thought about it but I guess that could be the problem with Rt. 22--the collapse of the RR. There is definitely a big difference between Rts 30 and 22.
Johnstown has a lot going for it. They try very hard. There was a tubing business on the river that was doing well and bringing in people (I don't know if they are still there). The blues festival they have in August is very good. I saw Gregg Allman and Robert Cray there. There is no comparison to Greensburg though.

omni did a bang up job restoring the bedford springs resort which seems to be having a trickle down effect on bedford. if you enjoy beer, it's a nice spot. I've only had the fish sandwich and the local bison burger

I's been a couple years since I've been on here pman, and I don't know if you still want to know what area that was that I was talking about, but it was Blairsville. I am back in Johnstown right now, and very relieved. Though this is a temporary move, I'm happy.
You're right, Gettysburg is a very nice little town.
