There's some kind of industrial unit on the top of that very small mountain, along with the usual masts. I'm not sure if there's public access. But there is access to much better mountains in the area. I might go up South Mountain today and take some video.

Oh cool a video!
I once started on Camelback Mountain. We didn't make it all the way, we had many things to do.

That mountain is a hill called Tempe Butte. The top was flattened to build a water tank up there and the concrete "T" on the side is for Tempe. It's not the most picturesque or a worthwhile hike but it does have some history. One of the largest, bloodiest feuds in the Old West ended at the foot of Tempe Butte. Without going into detail (and I can't remember much about it anyway) ,but the last man killed in the Pleasant Valley War was shot right by the butte. The feud started and centered way up in Young AZ between cattlemen and sheep herders. Around 25 people were murdered in a 5 year span or so. One of the last men involved tried to get away from the feud and started farming in Tempe but couldn't escape his past.

That link tells it better and has an old picture of Tempe Butte.
