I couldn't believe this:

Is it possible that the so called errors you speak of are in your own eyes?

I have no qualm with volunteer guards. This is one of the few areas I would actually trust Arpaio in. Some make a stink about Seagal but if he's actually qualified as a deputy, I don't see the problem in it. Sure he's an actor and the butt of many jokes but if he meets the qualification, so be it.

I don't support the headline grabbing though.

And what's wrong with that?

I see no error here; I see an elected official actually, you know, protecting the public. Isn't that the #1 purpose of any government?

I saw a clip of this with Seagal on the news this morning. I literally laughed out loud.

Pretty sure there are better qualified individuals available to conduct the training. But Steven Seagal gets you on the news and that is what motivates Arpaio.

I don't see what's wrong with this?

Seagal is a 7th-Dan black belt in Aikido and one heck of a marksman. Just because he's a hollywood actor don't let that fool you. For once Arpaio seems like he's trying to do something good. I think he can help a lot in the training with the sheriffs "posse".

Seems like a really good idea to me. Every county needs a Joe Arpio.
