That seems so strange when you mention 'the old part of Scottsdale' because we lived over on 86th and Windsor in '60 when that was the 'new part of Scottsdale'.

What was "new" in 1960 Scottsdale looks quite old now. Refer to this post for proof... in the 60s it was quite vivid and legible.

You are correct it is the NE corner, looking photos of the Lincoln Mercury dealer?

And in reality it is quite old...lol that was 50 years ago. It's just in my mind that it doesn't seem that long ago that those houses were being built. I went to Hohokam Elementary and I believe it was a fairly new school at that time. I remember it like it was yesterday...although it's interesting that I really can't remember what I did actually did yesterday.

As strange as it may sound, the Bashas that was on Scottsdale Rd, north of Ind Sch Rd, had some mighty fine tastin' chicken at their deli. I would make it a point to drop in just to grab a breast.

I'd say 3rd street around Roosevelt (or farther north around Portland St.). That has to be the Westward Ho in the background.
