12?? I must still be in single figures then ;(

Another rap for Green Pepper in Sq Hill. The food is fantastic if you like Korean. The seafood pancake is quite divine. BYOB too.

I heard from a friend whose friend is a major Chick fil A franchisee. This particular franchisee grew up in the Fox Chapel area and according to my friend wants to put a franchise in the Waterworks Mall. Another chain restaurant is not earth shattering news. I just kind of wanted to post my two cents an Chick fil A. I just got done traveling to Florida. I drove down and back. Chick fil A's are not nearly as prevalent as some other fast food chains to say the least. On the rare occasion that I would see that there was a Chick Fil A on an interstate exit sign, I would stop at that exit because there are no Chick fil A's in my neck of the woods in O'Hara Twp. unless I go to Ross Park Mall. Driving towards my destination of Chick fil A I would notice that the other fast food places off of the exit were moderately busy at lunch time. Whereas the Chick fil A's were swamped with lines snaking out the door and the drive through backing out onto the access highway.
Now, Chick fil makes a perfectly nice chicken sandwich and the waffle fries are nice change of pace. Yet, I don't find their chicken sandwich to be head and shoulders above the premium chicken sandwiches of Wendy's, McDonald's, and Burger King to justify the crowds. I'm not talking about the value menu items here. Personally, I believe that by not having the saturation of other chains Chick fil A is creating hoopla to make their product seem like it is more premium than the others. I'm not sure that this is the case. Maybe others can prove me wrong. All that I know if Chick fil A does indeed open in the Waterworks in a year or two, it will be silly busy for a while because there simply are very few in the Pittsburgh area and the hype will make you wait for that chicken sandwich and waffle fries.

Went by the former Lomito on Liberty Ave, new sign announcing Adolfo's Italian and Venezuelan Food. Grand opening today (May 15). Facebook page, there is a photo of the menu, but it is a little hard to read.

The California foodie threads are probably all about the French Laundry but we have BK vs. ChickFilA.

There aren't really many left to talk about until the next one closes and the next one opens.

That thought did cross my mind. although it would be about the latest authentic Ramen place or Burmese, French Laundry is so 2010.
