... You mean pittsburgh has the opportunity to become an indistinguishable eastern sunbelt city? Oh happy day!

pittsburgh vastly exceeds nashville, columbus, and charlotte in many categories -- especially those that the under-35 crowd is increasingly interested in (e.g., walkability, arts scene, progressive policy, etc.).

I should note that i lived in nashville for three years and have some nostalgia for very specific aspects of it, but i can't describe how much happier i am to be in pittsburgh.
lol (:

Well for sure Pittsburgh and San Francisco run neck-and-neck for the title of
Most Rugged Terrain in an Urban Area.

But Pittsburgh would need to bring back the trollies.

There was a thread on "General US" about "Is St. Louis the San Francisco of the Midwest?" I bring up the same question here as I did there-just what makes a city "The San Francisco of XXX"? What traits are being looked for?

Pittsburgh is older, therefore the question is "Is San Francisco the Pittsburgh of the West"?

If you have to ask the question we aren't similar. Pittsburgh = cincinnati or cleveland

Only by 18 years. And SF has been bigger than Pittsburgh since about 1870.

Not to spoil your delusion, but this is a discussion board, questions are meant to be posed and discussed here. How inane to suggest that the answer to all questions is inherently "no" just because they are asked.

I can see the comparison to Cincinnati as somewhat valid, but honestly, have you been to Cleveland?
