That is a nice opinion. Where exactly is this happening?

I don’t understand how you’re arguing against basic concepts like supply and demand. And before you ask, I will not cite any sources. You don’t hand out assignments around here.

I see Buffalo has the same unemployment rate as Columbus.

You should break down each of the 20 Amazon finalists by metro job growth over the last year. That would be a better value to this thread.
Nothing is stopping you from doing that yourself. As for the "better value," this was, as I stated, a pulse of many large metros which includes Amazon finalists. But then again, your statement had another purpose. Bless your heart.

What does this have anything to do with Amazon or Pittsburgh? I don’t see the connection.

You think Amazon and Pittsburgh are exempt from the basic full employment supply and demand concept being discussed?

I don't think Amazon and Pittsburgh are exempt. It's well known that wages are not keeping up with employment.
Unemployment, Low. Wage Growth, Meh.

OK but this seems like a separate topic from the one being discussed (whether Amazon is deterred by Pittsburgh's unemployment rate being at 4.4%)

Fair enough. I dunno. That's still darn good employment. Ours is better, but our governor told Amazon we don't want them to come.

You don't want a lot of UE, because that may imply lots of people have no job qualifications. OTOH, if it's too low, no one's looking for a job! Although a low UE rate means it's easier to change jobs.
