To come back to coaching he’s going to want a desirable job with a chance of winning.

He’s not going to have a chance at winning a championship here. Most every program where he could have the opportunity to coach has great history and facilities. Heather Lyke is not looking very good right now. I’m sure this nonsense of trying to get out of paying Stallings his buyout isn’t all on her but she’s going to take a lot of the heat for it.

I agree. Heather Lyke is going to cost Pitt money and eliminate some top coaching prospects.

Imo, the job is going to turn into a stepping stone job much like Pitt football.

I think Matta would be a great hire but I don’t see why he would want to come here unless he couldn’t find work elsewhere.

The most important questions should be: Why would a proven coach want to come here and how is he going to get quality recruits to come here?

Dixon got ran out of town and Stallings only got 2 years and now they’re trying to cheat him out of his contract. These aren’t things that are going to attract a proven/quality coach.
