The separation of church and state is directed toward the church influencing political decisions and participating in government. The left has perverted this wise decision by the founding fathers as a justification to remove ANY REFERENCE TO GOD from ANY PUBLIC VENUE. This is liberal insanity at work and has resulted in completely ridiculous measures to remove any reference to God from money, public buildings, or government entities.

Witness the liberal insanity-

1. wanting to remove "In God We Trust" from money
2. Removal of the ten commandments from any courthouse
3. removal of memorial crosses from any public areas
4. removal of any Christmas decorations from public buildings or schools

This is nuts. It is a far cry from the Pope intervening on the part of the operations of the US government (this is what the founding fathers wanted to avoid). Gain some common sense. There is not, nor has there ever been, a religion or relgious group that has gained control of the government. There has, on the other hand, been an attack on Christianity by the lunatic left using the fear of a theocracy as thier justification. Amazing. Again- liberalism is a mental disorder.
I'm completely and utterly shocked that Michael Newdow still walks this planet. I bet the reason he's laying low is because, after Tiller's death and emergence of the Tea Party patriots, its evident that nationalistic pride is at a pinnacle right now among conservatives. I'd bet that Newdow would suffer the same fate as Tiller the moment he popped up out of his hiding place and tried to pull any of his anti-Christian/anti-US shenanigans. That's the climate we're in. It seems that far-right conservatives have no shame in taking down the anti-Americans that plague this nation. I don't necessarily support it, but it wouldn't surprise me if it happened.

I agree that they see it as a tool to attack Christianity, which they percieve as an "enemy". That is a pretty dangerous tool- one that may turn and bite the very people weilding the tool. Islam is not very friendly toward human rights, women, gays, and free speech. Why anyone would support a religion that seeks to enslave is beyond me. How many Hindu, Budhist, Shinto, or Christian terrorists are there?

People that call themselves "conservative" always amuse me. Don't spend a dime of my money, unless it is for my own personal social security/medicare benefits or for the Military or for Israel Defense Fund. Don't spend a dime of the rest of it though please.

Don't touch my firearms, have you not heard of the Constitution. But go ahead with your illegal search and seizures of them brown folks, legal or not I am sure they had it comin to them. Forget about the Constitution.

And forget about the Constitution if you want to touch my little plaque of the 10 commandments. But please do not allow any other group to learn about their history or ethnicity in schools, or to show their religious images in public places.

They cherry pick and want everyone to be just like they are, but will not stand for anyone different than them.

Cowards and hypocrites...

There is no confusion no matter how much you attempt to create it. The government must stay out of religion but people can have any private religion they want.

Lying is as natural as breathing to them. They can't stop lying just like they can't stop breathing because then their ideology dies.

I'm not sure this is an accurate statement, especially given the number of attacks that have been perpetrated in the last 2 years alone. Far-right attacks are definitely out there, but they MAY beat out "other" attacks by only a small margin these days.

I'd like to see it quantified by someone.

I do think it is wrong to single out liberals but on here it does seem to be the case. Not every liberal but most on here do hate Christianity. They will claim it is because of this reason or that reason but it is just pure hate. They fear that us Christians will some how take over the world. It is difficult to accept that this country WAS founded by Christian men and woman and that is a FACT. Many don't want to accept that.

I recently watched a series called John Adams it is about how the USA was founded and broke away from Britain. It is a great series and tells a lot about how the men and woman of the time the US found their Independence felt about God. Truly a great watch.
