Why can't someone buy liquor on Sunday in Montgomery county, MD? Sounds like Texas. Why the restriction? Care to guess?
Because you can only buy alcohol from county stores, and the county stores are not open on Sunday. It's probably the most liberal county in the entire USA.
Also, only one store per grocery chain can sell beer and wine, so the vast majority of grocery stores do not sell beer/wine. Yet here in conservative Virginia, I can buy beer in any grocery store, gas station, or 7-11. Not so in liberal montgomery county.

And do you know why the the county stores open on Sunday?
Do you know WHY they aren't open on Sundays? Or would you prefer to just keep speculating. FWIW - Democrats are the ones trying to repeal this law that you don't like, not Republicans.
BTW, try getting drunk in super Mormon Salt Lake City if you want to see strict liquor laws. It's practically impossible.

I don't care why. All I know is that montgomery county is one of the most liberal places in the USA and you cannot buy alcohol on sundays. You can buy alcohol on sundays in conservative Virginia.

And I'm talking Texas too, hardly liberal. And no, I'm not talking county stores. It is illegal, by law, to sell liquor on Sunday, here in Texas. You didn't take a guess, so here is your chance again... why?
Good question. Maybe they hate individual freedom, women's rights, and gay people as much as Islam does?
