I would like to suggest that we find a neutral ground that we could send all Muslims and all Christians to duke it out. Let the biggest God win.... In this corner, wearing the red white and blue trunks and wearing the Christian robe, Yahweh. With a record of 22 wins, 22 loses and 1 draw with Satan. In the opposing corner Allah, a up and comer with an amazing record. He has smote infidels left and right to get to this position as a top contender. LET'S GET READY TO RUMBLE.
Yeah, I think that's the plan. It's pretty much outlined in Revelations. It's not going to be pretty but it will be final.
And you have no clue what you are talking about either.
It's really rich when non-believers think they understand the Bible.
I'd wager that your average non-believer has a much better understanding of the Bible than your average nominal believer. Especially considering that a large amount of American atheists and agnostics were not raised as such and it takes thought to reject something rather than passively accept it.

Ah yes, Thunderdome - Two Gods enter, one God leaves.
Everywhere I see, atheists are fighting to take down Chrisitian specifics symbols from public places, but when Muslim cabbies in Kansas City and Muslim students in universities want specially designed foot baths to be installed in public places, all we hear is deafening silence from the left? Why is it ok for you lefties to bash us Christians on TV, make fun of Jesus and God, but don't dare do the same to Allah or Muhammad? Why? Someone explain to me
I think you're confused by the definition of public space. Public space is property owned by the government. A liberal would support no religious symbols in a court house because that's public property owned by the government. Most airports are private property, not owned by the government. The same applies to universities. That's why liberals are silent when Christians make an issue about these "public" accomodations for other religions. The airports and universities are not public in the same sense that court houses are public.
I'm liberal and I hate christianity AND islam.. it's all rubbish
I'm an equal opportunity hater when it comes to religions.. not that I hate someone for believing in them, I hate the lies and limits they put upon human potential.
Why do (some) conservatives think that all liberals think alike? Is this more projection from a certain segment of the right?
Ah, but (some) liberals also think that all conservatives think alike!
It's really just a generalization for the sake of having an opponent, an enemy, someone to blame, and of course, to avoid looking at issues. It's so much easier to attack someone (or the label applied to that person) than to actually have an argument about a given issue.
I, for one, despise this polarization crap trap that so many Americans seem to have fallen into. What a great way to keep the masses distracted.

Yep. That's why I enclosed "some" within parentheses, and I do realize that there are demagogues operating on both sides.
I see this within the microcosm of my own family -- my mother pathologically hates conservatives and my brother is the polar opposite. So sparks fly...
The demagoguery coming from the right just happens to be reaching a fevered pitch since Obama was elected.
That's just my personal observation, and since I never have and never will never belong to any party, I don't have much of a stake in picking on one side or the other, and in my younger days I used to be quite a bit more conservative (one-time Reagan voter, pretty rare amongst Minnesotans). I was busy being a soldier back then. I used to think I was supposed to be conservative because I was in the Army. I wasn't alone in that amongst my peers, by the way.

Well for starters, you're talking about liberals iin general in your thread title and then you talk about aetheists wanting Christian symbols removed from public places...then you go to lefties bashing Christians on TV and making fun of Jesus and God but, not Allah or Muhummad. Why don't you ask the atheists you're talking about or those lefties you saw on TV, how they feel about other religions and maybe you can get them to bash then too. Would you be happy then?
