Doubtful.

About the only group that could do that is the fedgov.
Probably, but 1.) Why? Why AK's? Didn't we already have this debate? And 2.) Would more than likely require payment up-front and the letter from the FBI/ATF & NSA concerning your clearance for the purchase. However seeing as you're in Australia that would be a no go as class 3 weapons can not be shipped over seas. Also getting anything less than a large number of weapons is chump change. There will be A LOT of questions, but easy enough. When you start talking 1,400 select fire M-4's and such, then you start talking about military sourcing.

LOL! If you think that's true then most are either in Texas, Idaho & Michigan. That's too funny.

Why so argumentative about this?
How about 'if this is true, it's gotten way out of control down there...'?
One reason the libs are so unbelievable, is that they won't admit to ANYTHING being a problem...that IS a problem.
Would you all support, if this IS real, giving the owners of those guns a pathway to U.S. citizenship? Feel bad for them?
I have to wonder....

Actually I am in SC and he still couldn't get them for me,not without my doing the following:

You must pay the US Treasury a special $200 per firearm tax. You must have a chief law enforcement officier (CLEO) in your area that will sign off on your form 4 (application to transfer a NFA firearm).

Once you find a transferable NFA firearm that you want to purchase, your CLEO will do the first back ground check, take 2 sets of FBI F258 fingerprint cards (with your prints) and sign the rear of the filled out form 4's (2 required per firearm).
You then mail the 2 form 4's, 2 fingerprint cards and a check to the BATF. The BATF sends the fingerprint cards to the FBI to do a back ground check on you and compare your prints against their data base. The BATF checks their data base to see if the firearm you are purchasing is legal, transferable and owned by the person or firearms dealer (FFL). The whole process takes from 6-12 weeks. Once you are approved, one of the form 4's will be returned and then you can go and pick up your new or slightly used NFA firearm.

A Mexican standoff...between federal police and municipal police.

YouTube - ahora narcopolicías bloquean avenidas y provoncan enfrentamiento con los federales

Take note of the arms used by the various LEO's in the video...and then take a look at the first pics in this OP...
