Looks like the right wing got caught with their pants down once again. Shame on them for this dishonest hatchet job.

Listen to her from the 20 min mark. This woman is actually an inspiration to me. An elder who righted her wrongs and is speaking about uplifting the community through businesses and education.

Okay, I will admit that I have not read the posts in this thread. There are just too many posts.

When this news story first broke, Fox News made it seem like these comments were recent. Yet, weren't they made in 1986? Also, wasn't her speech about how poor people need support (and should be supported)?

"I told them to get the whole tape and look at the whole tape and see how I tell people we have to get beyond race and work together."

Said Shirley Sherrod, from under the bus.

What a bunch of puke. There's really no other word for it. Breitbart should have his ass sued off.

When will people -- ESPECIALLY THE WHITE HOUSE -- learn that Andrew Breitbart and Faux Noise are not to be trusted to portray the truth, and INVESTIGATE EVERYTHING THEY CLAIM before taking any action or making any comments?

I'm so sick of these lying sacks pulling political tricks and getting away with it.

Indeed. There's no question that he defamed her. And there's no question that she can prove actual damages -- the woman was forced to give up her job!

Unlike the video splice, cut and paste by Think Progress regarding the Tea Party, Andrew did not edit or splice and dice the video.

Oh, the selective outrage!

What about the Think Progress splice and dice video purporting to show racist Tea Partiers? No outrage there for the dishonest montage they put together?

Yes, her story is from 1986 (the year I was born) and correct, she realized that not only were poor black farmers losing their farms, but poor white people were losing theirs too. She also was not working for the USDA at the time.
