Murders
In the U.S., violence directed toward abortion providers has killed at least eight people, including four doctors, two clinic employees, a security guard, and a clinic escort.[5]
March 10, 1993: Dr. David Gunn of Pensacola, Florida was fatally shot during a protest. He had been the subject of wanted-style posters distributed by Operation Rescue in the summer of 1992. Michael F. Griffin was found guilty of Dr. Gunn's murder and was sentenced to life in prison.
August 21, 1993 Dr. George Patterson, was shot and killed in Mobile, Alabama, but it is uncertain whether his death was the direct result of his profession or rather a robbery.[6][7]
July 29, 1994: Dr. John Britton and James Barrett, a clinic escort, were both shot to death outside another facility in Pensacola. Rev. Paul Jennings Hill was charged with the killings. Hill received a death sentence and was executed on September 3, 2003.
December 30, 1994: Two receptionists, Shannon Lowney and Lee Ann Nichols, were killed in two clinic attacks in Brookline, Massachusetts. John Salvi, who prior to his arrest was distributing pamphlets from Human Life International,[8] was arrested and confessed to the killings. He died in prison and guards found his body under his bed with a plastic garbage bag tied around his head. Salvi had also confessed to a non-lethal attack in Norfolk, Virginia days before the Brookline killings.
January 29, 1998: Robert Sanderson, an off-duty police officer who worked as a security guard at an abortion clinic in Birmingham, Alabama, was killed when his workplace was bombed. Eric Robert Rudolph, who was also responsible for the 1996 Centennial Olympic Park bombing, was charged with the crime and received two life sentences as a result.
October 23, 1998: Dr. Barnett Slepian was shot to death at his home in Amherst, New York. His was the last in a series of similar shootings against providers in Canada and northern New York state which were all likely committed by James Kopp. Kopp was convicted of Dr. Slepian's murder after finally being apprehended in France in 2001.
May 31, 2009: Dr. George Tiller was shot and killed as he served as an usher at his church in Wichita, Kansas.[9]

So how many of your beloved abortion clinics exist in Islamic countries?

You don't really believe now that your Muslims are pro-abortion.

Really you need to be careful with that "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" mentality. Muslims don't accept abortion, just because they are using the left doesn't mean they agree with abortion or will allow abortion clinics, or homosexuals.

Most muslims are not pro choice, but some are. Abortion is 100% legal in the Muslim countries of Tunisia, Bangladesh, and Turkey.

In addition to this the only countries that insist the mother go down with the ship if a pregnancy goes bad are predominantly Christian and located in Latin America and Southern Europe.

I don't want to tell other countries what to do. However, I do want to show them what an open society, that accepts everyone can do.

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

I hate what many Islamic countries do to their people, and what some extremists support. But that doesn't make all Muslims evil, it doesn't make all Islam bad.

You do realize that the bible says to kill your children if they try and leave Christianity right? You do realize that the bible, thats the most widely printed document in the world, says to kill non believers right?

Most Christians and Jews don't follow those rules, just like most Muslims don't follow the asinine rules of their religion either.

I don't get what the policies of other countries have to do with the proposition of this thread.

I just recently got an infraction because I stood up against a person on here who stated that she didn't agree with Muslims because they're trying to kill us. It's this sort of brainwashed idiotic rhetoric that is truly killing us. Muslims are not our enemies. Let me repeat. We are not enemies with the entire religious community of Islam. We are at war with fringe elements of Islam. We are fighting the Taliban and Al Qeada (sorry for misspelling). These groups are not representative of the 1.5 billion people who are Muslim. Islam spans from the drunk bikini clad fake blonde Lebanese girls in Cote d'Ivoire (West Africa) to the very conservative Saudi full length abaya (both types I've seen in real life). All this is fueling to the fire and pushing away the barely religious and moderates further and further from the discussion. They are the ones who need to more included. It would be great to stop this inane anti-American blather and try to form ties to forge a better America and better world.

So are you just as open minded toward the Nazis and KKK? Do you believe in not telling them what to do either and are you saying that we should have allowed the Nazis during WWII times to do whatever they were doing?

With Nazis and the KKK, are you content to just "show" them an open society and hope they'll catch on?

I believe the Muslims should be treated the same way we treat Nazis. For one we didn't allow Nazis to immigrate here. But if someone chooses to believe in that ideology, they really need to be watched and death threats they make on anyone need to be taken seriously. A fatwah is a death threat and it's absurd we let imans in the USA get away with making them.

What you don't realize - there are not different denominations in Islam. It's all the same thing. The Taliban is the same Islam as the rest of them.

It's not like Christianity where you have Baptists, Lutherans, Catholics. Islam doesn't accept any schism - it is one big ideology.
