If you hated jobs and wanted to have the highest unemployment rate you could get, you would:

1. Have high corporate income tax rates, and continually threaten to raise them further.

2. Drive up the cost of labor by eliminating ballots in the union certification process.

3. Dry up capital investment by taking money from lenders and investors and giving it to union benefit plans.

4. Introduce a wild-card into business planning by ramming through a massive overhaul of the health care system, with unknown costs and massive penalties on employers.

5. Unleash a massive wave of new regulations, driving up costs and hassles for everyone from the corner hardware store to major multinational corporations.

Wait a minute....isn't this the Obama/Pelosi/Reid agenda?

Don't forget getting average Americans really really mad about some of those bonuses that the banks & corporations pay to the CEO"s while the average workers are losing their jobs.

Stop outsourcing? What are you some sort of populist raver opposed to the Corprotocracy. Shame on you.

Greater Greed provides Greater Profits for the Sacred Owners. What is Good for the Haves is better for the Have Mores and paradise for the Have Almost Everything.

Really? This is from a while ago, but do you think it has changed much?

The Gap Between Statutory and Real Corporate Tax Rates

Or more recent

taxanalysts.com: Featured Articles -- The Effective Corporate Tax Rate Is Falling

Do you think this is happening by accident? What you are listening to, is the Republican BS.

Outsoucing, offshoring, whatever- can we decide on a standard term?- has been going on since at least the mid to late 1960s. Remember all those abandoned factories you saw in the 1970s? They had left while GWB2 was dating cheerleaders and Obama was learning to surf in Indonesia.

No one party or politician is responsible. The jobs moved because they could. Why would anyone be naive enough to think otherwise? Do you think it has only happened in the USA?

What would you have the government do about it? Should Congress pass a draconian law that bans all US corporations from investing abroad. Yea, that will work.

Really, what you do? I would like to know.

Amazing that the same crowd who loathes moving jobs abroad to take advantage of cheap labor has no qualms about illegally importing tons of cheap labor into the US.

There is one Party that is trying to provide incentive to keep jobs here and even bring some back.
