Dennis Donovan, a veteran corporate-relocation consultant, said many legal and engineering firms already have outsourced routine work overseas, and he sees a bigger wave of offshoring by the burgeoning healthcare industry. At the same time, he sees fewer companies moving overseas strictly on the basis of cost.
Democrats and their Union stooges create a hostile, anti-American, anti-business environment and then act all surprised when American businesses flee in droves.
Then again, nobody has ever accused liberals of being in touch with reality. This is another fine example of how out of touch with reality they truly are.

Really? Because both Dems & Reps have been guilty of pushing our jobs overseas. Would like to see what other stuff was attached to that bill to see if that was the reason for it being blocked. Typical political BS when they add stuff to something important, just so they can say that the other side opposed an important bill.

President Obama has complained that the U.S. tax system encourages companies to invest and hire abroad, but a bill that would have ended certain tax credits and deferrals to companies expanding or moving overseas was voted down in the Senate last week.
That because the Senate realizes that someone like me could easily get around that 101 different ways.
You cannot stop off-shoring any more than you can stop a company from fleeing the Rust-Belt and moving to Mississippi or Alabama. It's a natural process.
Too late.
The horse is already out of the barn.
But since we've had Republican Presidents for 20 out of last 30 years.
It's sure is strange how it's ALL the Democrats fault for all our jobs leaving town???

The is interesting, but then I was under the impression that a president could not write legislation, only congress could and so their effect on the matter was simply encouragement in the process and approval as the bills came to end.
Maybe it would be more interesting to evaluate what party controlled congress over that time line as well as what was purposed and voted on during it?
if obama was really serious about getting jobs back in america, he owuld be pushing for sensible regulations, a proper health care reform law, a proper financial reform law, get his buddies in the unions to make concessions in union rules, retirement benefits, health care benefits, hold the line on pay, etc. so that the business environment in this country would be conducive to creating or expanding business here. instead he wants to double tax corporate profits from overseas, pushes through a health care law that is loaded with new regulations and taxes, to the point that business has no idea what will happen in the next year, let alone the next five years, in regards to costs, etc.

this isn't about liberals......it is about a president who wants to prevent even more of our jobs from leaving the country.
What was done with NAFTA has been harming the workers here for quite awhile & someone should finally be looking at the interests of our own workers.
Tax the hell out of those businesses to the point where it is no longer profitable to go out of the country & start hiring those who use & buy their products & services, Americans.
Finally someone is at least understanding & looking at the harm this has done to our country.

this is all smoke and mirrors by the president. and you cannot tax one group heavily, and not another, that is illegal.

Harry Reid only brought the bill to the floor for a vote because he knew that he didn't have the votes to pass it. It only went to the floor so that the dems could have something to bash republicans for.
This happens with both parties. Don't be foolish enough to take either party at their word.
READ THE BILL!
