contrary to popular opinion we do not have a right to fly in this country. we do not have a right to drive or take the train or the bus either. we do have a right to travel. the airlines are a private industry heavily regulated by the federal government. personally i dont like the invasive search anymore than anyone else, but when i fly, i follow the rules set forth or i dont fly.
Baah, Baah
Spoken like a true patriot, if only the Founding Fathers had thought this way. We could be drinking tea and celebrating the Queen's Birthday.
as i said,we have a right to travel, not a right to fly, or drive a car, or ride a bus. these are privileges not rights.
that is only in a court of law, and sorry but an airport is not a court of law.
Not to be a stickler, but it doesn't sound a whole lot better to say that "the terrorists are taking my privileges away". Especially since public transporation has been a privilege since 1776.
Pilot Michael Roberts refused to submit to a TSA porno scan. He opted out and found himself subject to a secondary search, which included an extremely invasive groping. Are cavity searches next? Find out as Scott Ott interviews pilot Michael Roberts.

How can any Muslims fly anyway? Aren't both of these methods against their religion to go through?

Yes and some Muslim clerics are seeking exemptions for their people.
Go figure....

If the TSA goes along with this and grants Muslims exceptions based on religious grounds, then what's the whole point of the body scanners in the first place if they first deployed these body scanners in response to the underwear bomber (which according to some people, was a hoax)

Thank you for posting this. My hat is off to Mr. Roberts and wish him every success in his battle. There are way too few Americans like him.
I haven't flown since 911 and absolutely will not again until/unless we as a nation wake from this slumber of surrender to mindless political correctness. It is incredible that anyone would tolerate this and the fact that many just continue to do what they're told without question speaks to the progress that has been made in dumbing down and breaking the will of a once free and proud people.
I find the following article rather distubing because it is advising Muslim women to refuse the full-body scans and to tell the "pat-down" thugs that they may only pat around the head and neck. First of all, it is because of Muslim extremists that we have all this "security" in the first place. But then to tell Muslim women that they are exempt from having the intrusive pat downs that the rest of us will be subjected to is just plain ridiculous. My suggestion is to install booths at airports that each of us would pass through and if you are hiding explosives, it will detonate them. That way, only the "baddies" will be affected and it will make another seat available on a crowded flight. It is cheaper (no team of TSA thugs required), much fairer, and certainly faster. How can it be wrong...?
They should make them remove those nasty scarves and have them patted down just like anyone else. It's because of them that we have to pay the extra fees and go through all of the crap at the airport.
Still in favor of giant government regulation? If so, this is what you will get.
this is a direct result of the Bush administration's policies to keep us in fear and vote the turd into office again in 2004, his fear and gays campaign.
