It has nothing to do with honor. I would go out and kill animals if I had to survive, but I don't have to. And so I don't. There are lots of things I could do if I had to but don't do, and there are only so many things you can do at one time. It's just personal preference, and I'd frankly rather read a book.
Hunting saves my family approximately $6000 in meat(pork & poultry included) and is way better than the steroid beef, pig and turkey at the grocery store.
I don't have to, but I like the meat and the resources I save for better things, like fuel.
...Is her man a lackey?
Who's the boss? Can't be a family without a 'boss', right? Is he an emasculated wimp? ...
Given that he has worked on the north slope, and that he has won what is arguably the toughest sporting event on the planet, I doubt it. Perhaps they are what the progressives claim to support, a family where both parents contribute to raising the kids and coing a share of the work.
Well there is one thing good about this silly Palin Derangement poll. It is clear most on CD are adults with only 10 jealous of Palins abilities and are not fearful she is all woman (something very scary to the feminazis)
I don't know, the 5 shots were not from a rifle she was even familiar with. When she shot the rifle she likes she got it in one shot.
She picked a rifle she couldn't hit with? And this is supposed to convince me she's a great outdoorswoman? Anyway, I call shenanigans - she handled both rifles as if it was her first time, her behavior with the second one in particular was borderline unsafe.
The point isn't whether she hunts or not. What's interesting is that she's very much trying to project an image as an accomplished hunter when the video clearly demonstrates that she isn't. Just another facet of Palin shown to be all form and no content.

I haven't found everyone who hunts to necessarily be an expert with guns. Some people may only use their rifle once or twice a year. Palin looked much more comfortable in the other episodes with the shotguns.
I believe John Kerry had a similar photo-op at the end of his presidential campaign. He shot and killed some birds. I didn't like that either. (And I'm not a "bleeding heart".)
Whether you're a bleeding heart or not, it would seem you find the process of harvesting animals distasteful. Since we live in a society in which most people rarely see meat outside of retail stores, you're sure to find a number of people who share your obvious sentiments. Aside from that and your disdain for Ms. Palin, was there a point to this thread?

Why not just go to a store and buy a steak? You and Palin enjoy killing something personally? In Alaska some of these morons with rifles don't even keep/consume the meat - they just want a pair of antlers/bear claw above their mantlepiece. And throw away the rest (luckily there are some charities that take the meat). Shoot the tiny young and pregnant females that can't even run away properly. I have nothing but disdain for these kinds of 'hunters' The natives had it right and still do - you only kill an animal for survival and make damn sure you use everything.
