Your attitude is why we need legislation to force irresposible people to step up and take care of themselves when the can afford to do so.

Why should your responsible neighbor pay higher health insurance premiums because you spent your money on a 60" big screen TV, a boat and an ATV instead of buying health insurance?

What a selfish attitude.
You make it sound like anyone can waltz into the ER and get treatment that they won't bother to bill you for. You can try to stiff them on the bill, but that's no different than an insured patient trying to stiff the provider on deductibles and co-pays that they owe. Obamacare still allows $5000 deductible coverage, so even an insured person could easily stiff them on the full bill.

There seems to be an assumption that no uninsured person ever pays for treatment, which is total nonsense. My own wife is on a HIPPA policy that has no prescription coverage, but guess what - that Nexium pill she takes every day ain't exactly free!

You have $80 million in the bank......yet you still pay SS tax, even though you don't need SS.

What a country this would be if we based all of our laws on the basis of people having $80 million dollars.......ridiculous.

and and

There is a big difference when it comes to your insurance provider calculating how much they need to raise your premium to make up for the loss involved.

What a country this would be if we based all our laws on people who expect someone else to pay for their and their childrens' every need.
