Oabma isn't making this decison. Same evacution of people in ktarina is responsility of the emrgency management system in new orleans. Its decisons made by the corp of engineers and the local emergency managment.

New Orleans seems to be quite a risky place to live these days, I wonder if people will simply abandon the city for good one day as the frequency and severity of natural disasters down there will likely increase rather than decrease in the future

This just proves how people on the left are incapapable of thought.

The rescue mission after Katrina was the largest and most successful ever accomplished by any government.

Someone incapable of thought could be neither on the left, right, or center. So you're conclusion is flawed.

Obama didn't open up the floodgates, it was the Corps of Engineers. And if he did, it was the right thing. I want the man elected out of office in 2012, but I'm not going to blame him for the weather.

Obama will win in 2012 because the Republicans will offer nothing but crazy and hate. People don't respond well to that kind of politics. The Republican gnashing of teeth would be a beautiful sound in 2012.

obama did the right thing and bush couldn't have done much different to ease katrina consequnces. I vividly remember new orleans being warned 7-12 days ahead of time for that one, yet few listened.
NOBODY blamed Bush for Katrina, they blamed him for his lack of response followed by pitiful response to Katrina..Letting people suffer while he did a flyover and patted Brownie and on the back was horrible.

Katrina was the most successful rescue mission ever conducted by any government.

You should be thanking Bush for doing such a fine job.

You mean like when the Republicans "shelacked" the Democrats last year.
