Thanks obama, you're doing a GREAT job!
The "Tin Foil Hat Crowd Strikes Again".

The Morganza Spillway as been around for over 50 years. Anybody with a shred of intelligence should have factored in the fact THEY ARE LIVING IN THE PATH OF SPILLWAY when deciding to live there.

The decision to open the spillway is predicated on the waterflow of the Mississppi River. It's a engineering decision NOT A POLITICAL ONE.

This is another example how a Conservative will NEVER let the truth get in the way of ideology.

President Bush was criticized for the federal response to the flooding in New Orleans and the Gulf Coast, not the actual hurricane.

Note to the OP.

Never you mind. Those folks live in flyover country, they're just hicks, too stupid to be liberals and besides, they don't vote democratic.

No loss (to this administration).

Now, if MEXICO has a flood......they'll get funds and support........

Why do people build their homes in a flood zone, then don't have flood insurance?

The spilway is being opened for the greater good, to save New Orleans and Baton Rouge from floods.

Everyone who built their homes down there knew about the spillway, and they have made their beds.

If City-Data is any indication, there is more than enough hypocrisy to go around on both sides.

When Bush was around, the liberals blamed him for everything. Now that we have Obama, the right wing is blaming him for everything. No one one wants to admit that America's problems are complex and have multiple causes and no simple ideological solution is going to fix them. As long as we keep acting this way, we have the government we deserve.

Get real...... Obama didn't decide to flood areas.... this was a decision made by the State to try to stop a catastrophy and by the way these areas are black communities..... ever been there?
