obama is the first president in history to defy the war powers resolution. libs ***** and moan about bushs illegal wars. how does it feel when the shoe is on the other foot?
"Right-wing web site"??? There is no "R" in ABC News.
apparently, to the left and the 0bama supporters, if Bush had only made the case for a humanitarian mission in Iraq, then they would have been fine with the Iraq invasion.
I think Saddam was killing more people, on an annual basis, then 0bama would lead us to believe Qaddafi might have.
This quote by 0bama went right out the window, and the left is apparently fine with that.
"No more ignoring the law when it's inconvenient. That is not who we are," Obama said, referring to his predecessor President George W. Bush. "We will again set an example for the world that the law is not subject to the whims of stubborn rulers."
....apparently, just to arrogant rulers.
I believe they did include the humanitarian aspects - the one the Left likes to ignore regarding the gassing of hundreds of thousands of Iraqis by saddam.

I am pointing out how stupid the issue is. What I don't understand is, why some people don't see this as a much more desirable course of action over past President's choices.
Personally, I think anytime a President involves our
military unnecessarily he's lost my support. Doesn't
matter which one, which party. He's toast in my book
What I can't understand, is why the Obama supporters
have a blind eye (oh wait - they support Obama - no
matter what) and I've just answered my own question
The US has a desire for democracy in the region. But, what is really going on in the region is a tribal civil war. We have no business being there.
I am glad about no loss of American lives at this point. The financial cost to American taxpayers however, to date for Libya assault is:
well over 2 billion and counting...
700 Million for the original cost of the Tomahawk missiles, not including transport, damaged aircraft, maintenance, ships, etc.....
It is financially, unacceptable to me. We have folks in
OUR OWN COUNTRY that need financial help due to
catastrophe.
If President Obama is breaking the law, then he must be arrested.
Citizen's arrest! Citizen's arrest!
The left leaning 0bama supporters will flee this thread now, because they have been asked to provide a stance on this issue, and they cannot logically defend it, or 0bama's actions without looking like fools.
Bush went to war in Iraq, we can argue on the merits of the reasons for going to war all day, but Bush received authorization by congress, received funding, and presented his case before both the American people and the congress, numerous times, before and after invading Iraq.
0bama did the EXACT opposite, he just went to war all on his own, no prior authorization from congress, and not once did he discuss it with the American people prior to launching missiles and starting a third war.
Sixty days into this war, and how often has 0bama spoken to the American people or the congress about it? He can at least deign to address the nation concerning his policy with this third war, at least as often as he goes golfing, don't you think?
We are a part of military actions in Libya, people are dying, infrastructure is being destroyed (that we will be paying to rebuild), borrowed money is being added to our national debt, and all we get is ..... crickets chirping..... which are occasional interrupted by a badly executed golf swing.

You forgot Obama's deadly drone strikes in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Somalia, Yemen but other than that, your post is....
PERFECT
There is a critical element missing in the several other areas that have oppressive leaders killing their own. UN authorization and cooperation in any intervention. If there were such support, yes I would agree with non-unilateral action.
sadam was an aggressive leader who was killing his own citizens...
Thank you for your concern for the sensibilities of our Liberal friends by posting a link from a left leaning site. That was sure considerate of you.
the point is, if even a left leaning website is reporting this gem, dont you think that just maybe you've overstepped your power and shouldnt **** off the side that predominantly votes for you?
