But it is relevant, were you protesting the Iraq war at 59 days? Where you calling for congress to declare war?

You see, this is why its important. Because the next time a Republican President goes off on psuedowar, you'll just be a happy follower. Which makes the whole idea of your opposition hypocritical.
Now back to Obama and Libya. You just can't let that happen can you?

Deflection has been used by far more then just that one community organizer.

I'm a constructionist, I like my constitution to be followed, neither party does that. My problem with this thread, and many like it, is that the posters who will complain now aren't complaining when the other side of the aisle does it.

I've already written a nasty gram to our current President, and my congressmen. I'm willing to bet 200 dollars that the OP hasn't done that now, and didn't do it under the last administration.

Without taking both sides to task on issues like this, we are only furthering the problem, and not fixing anything. I'd ask that everyone who has a problem with this now write their congressmen, whether Republican or Democrat, and let them know that in the future, if they let a President do anything with the military that hasn't been declared war on, that you will never vote for that person again as long as they are in political office. You would rather vote for someone from the other aisle that is completely alien to all your other beliefs.

But seriously, it doesn't matter one way or another. We'd might as well get used to the no declaration wars, thats one power the federal government would rather have a revolt for then to give up. And the problem with a revolt, they would win.

Obama likely to miss deadline for congressional approval of Libya operations - The Washington Post
President Obama appears likely to miss a legal deadline Friday — set under the terms of a 1973 law — that requires him to obtain congressional approval for U.S. military operations in Libya.
..
As of Thursday, however, the White House had still not formally requested that approval.
Congressional leaders, for their part, said very little about the deadline being missed. That might indicate they are willing to let the White House ignore a law that has been derided by some as unconstitutional."

Not saying anything?
Sure they are including Democrats;
Is Obama about to break the law? - CNN.com

Rep. Brad Sherman, D-California, tells CNN he believes Obama is trying to "bring democracy to Libya while shredding the Constitution of the United States.""He cannot continue what he is doing in Libya without congressional authorization. When a president defiantly violates the law, that really undercuts our efforts to urge other countries to have the rule of law," Sherman said.
